WAZOBIA FM
The station was established in 2007 by its owners, Globe Broadcasting and communications Limited.
Until its establishment, existent radio stations ran only a few programs in the Nigerian Pidgin English thereby making the radio stations an esoteric affair. Wazobia was established to create that informal radio station feeling, where everything, ranging from news to talk shows are all presented in the more informal, less sophisticated, and relaxing Nigerian Pidgin English language.
Since its establishment in 2007, it has grown to become one of the people’s favorite, reaching out to people who are fluent with the Pidgin English, and even those who are not.
With offices based in Port Harcourt, Lagos and other strategic locations in Nigeria, the station reaches out to the Nation. It is currently headed by Prince Daniel ‘ABOKI’
Programs
The Wazobia FM has a line of programs that are organized to entertain, inform, and educate her listeners. With different kinds of properly packaged programs, the station cuts across the cultural diversity of the nation bringing the uniqueness and humor that is usually associated its Pidgin-based program list.
